I guess you could call this latest USB product from Victorinox cutting edge technology.:D The new device features a 1 TB USB flash drive with an LCD screen and several pocketknife implements Victorinox is famous for worldwide. As with everything else interesting this time of year, it will be featured at CES next week with details.

I can only imagine they will charge an arm and a leg for this.lol:D

As much as I'd like to make fun of this, it's pretty cool. But it's probably gonna be like $1000.

hope you have a regular flash drive to fly with

Hm...the "128gb" version is >$500. How will they even make this practical?

4GB Slim "Flight" USB thumbdrive goes for $30.

I bought a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer for under $15.

I shudder to think how much a 1TB stick would cost.

I got a 1gb knife-scissor-light-usb quite a while ago and I find it ridiculously handy. I bought it on clearance though, their retail prices are sky-high.

Yeah...but the way things are going, a mechanical hard drive will still be more expensive. :)

I think someone forgot to include the "up to" statement. That knife will have a 1TB drive in the exact same way that we have 2TB SDXC cards.

In that there isn't one, because the chip density isn't there yet.

And just after writing that, I noticed it included in the photo of the display...

The electronics in the knife support it. You won't be putting 1TB of porn on it though for many more years. :)

if that's really a photo of the design they have come up with it doesnt look very good, the memory should be in the rigid case and the usb plug should be smaller like on a cord. add to that the fact that the weight of all the metal on there will be abit high for the usb port.

The biggest USB thumb drives I've seen on newegg are 128gb.

Pretty sure the other guy called it. Its to interface with a normal SATA drive.
