These new eden/c7 variants are sparking a small niche group, and I am all systems go... I made a C7 post in "general hardware" because it didn't quite fit anywhere else...
is there any way we can have a via platform/cpu forum? If it's too much of a burden to find a moderator, I've boned up on all of the documentation and I feel that I could handle most questions about them. I'm really pumped about these products and I'd love to have the community know more and more about this series of platforms and processors.

*cheers* mate

Your best bet here is to go straight to Kyle - kyle@hardocp.com

I have a Via CPU system too, although it's an older C3 system.

Unfortunately, it's a reality that having a generic "Processors" forum will not work, as the Intel and AMD fans need separate playgrounds. I don't know if there's enough of us to justify having our own forum or not yet, although I'm sure that your questions on Via's CPUs and system platforms would be fair game in GenHard, SFF systems, or HTPC systems as appropriate :)

It just seems that everything about current, past, and future via c's are shrowded in a wall of secrecy... it would be nice to have an entire forum for their discussion, at the omni-informational hardforums.

I agree. I have heard almost nothing about them. Information is scattered and hard to find unless you know what you are looking for. I think a forum like this would be great to have. Even if it was placed as a sub-forum within general hardware or something to the same extent.

I think it would be pretty cool. But you'd prob want to make it a sub-forum in "Small Form Factor Systems"

Not quite, the VIA C-series is found in notebooks as well as desktop boards

I would like to see it have its own forum, they are doing some very interesting things... dual proc ITX, nano-ITX.... I spend a pretty decent amount of time eye balling thier products for various projects ;p

Done.

Better get in there and post your asses off or I will yank the cord on it. :D
