We are using imail server, pop3 accounts, outlook 2007.
One one specific user's PC, when he moves a message from his inbox to a folder that he has used for a long time, the message does not appear. It simply vanishes into thin air.
I verified the current view settings and there are no filters. I am stumped here!

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are using pop3 as your method for checking messages then they are being brought down to the local client level and handled there. So you'll want to check out your Outlook 2007 pst file that is managing that store for the account.

I doubt it would be a network or security issue.

Also have you tried:

* Renaming the subfolder, creating a new one and moving everything over to that.
* Creating a new pst and then moving data over
* Scanpst

I posted it here since outlook is something a lot of you guys would be familiar with...I will check those things out. Thanks!

I opened outlook under /cleanviews and ran the scanpst tool, all seems to be okay now. Thanks!
