If you have a Credit Card, then you should have a checking account and then you can just do an E-check instead, without doing auto pay. All they are trying to do is avoid paying CC processing fees.

Yes you do actually via the electronic fund transfer act. Unless you are one of those people who pay everything via credit to build points for something it's not that big of a difference.
