During an interview with IGN regarding upcoming digital collectible card game Artifact, programmer Jeep Barnett noted that Valve hasn’t missed any of the memes devised by impatient fans clamoring for a third Half-Life game. While a new adventure with Gordon Freeman appears unlikely, team member Brandon Reinhart hints that a good portion of the company is ready to return to their roots.

To deliver a bunch of high-quality games that show we're actually working really hard.”
