Trying to stretch my rig as far as it will go. I ran the Valley benchmark, how does it look? Time to upgrade or am I doing well enough?

I understand the Sandy Bridge is a bit old, but I have it OC'ed to 4.4Ghz on Air. Will upgrading see any upgrade in performance?

How does your rig perform on Valley Benchmarks?

For a comparison...

My 3770 w/ tiny o/c to 4.0 GHz w/original Titan (runs stock @ 1045 MHz), rest of my rig in sig, running the same setup as you, D3D11, 1920x1200, 8xAA, full-screen, Sound on, Win7 x64 (only difference) with everything maxed:

FPS:
52.2

Score:

Valley hardly uses any CPU at all, it's just a stationary benchmark (more focused on GPU stressing than CPU).

If you want to test if you're CPU-limited or not, you'll need to run FRAPS with your game of choice.

If it's single-player (repeatable), Just record your framerate at your monitor's native resolution. Then lower your resolution, and see if your framerate goes up.

If it does not go up, you're CPU-limited.

FPS - 94.8

max - 184.4

Evga 980 ti classified, 4790k at 4.6GHz.

I can tell you that clocking up my cpu barely makes any impact on this benchmark or the Heaven one. My cpu can more or less do 4.8GHz but the voltage required (and in turn, heat generated) just isn't worth it unless you're in a 3dmark or specific benchmark competition. If you want to see that benchmark increase a great deal - clock the video card up or upgrade it.

Just picked up my brand new system this morning

I put a slight overclock on my card and increased it to:

Still same settings and resolution

At that resolution I got

You guys should run it at the OP's settings, 1920*1200 for a fair comparison to him.

I lowered my resolution to 1920x1200 for apples to apples and got:

FPS 88.3
Score 3696
Min 37.2
Max 166.4
