Vaio FW not working

Hey guys, I've got a problem you might be able to help me with:

I picked up my laptop while it was running, and then the screen turned black and the fans stopped spinning. The power led button still glowed green however. I could not depress the button to turn it off, so I pulled the battery.

When I tried to turn it on again, the same thing occurred. The green power led is glowing, but the screen is dark and there are no fans spinning.

Any idea what's going on?

If the switch is staying depressed I would say that is your problem.

Haha no I explained it incorrectly, I mean I can't hardboot it be holding down the power button. The button can be depressed. The only way I can get it to turn off, and I mean that in the loosest sense because only the green power light is on, is to remove the battery.
