Hi all. I'm about to move into a new apartment that has free cable internet. I currently have Uverse at my current place. I was wondering if there was a way to load balance the 2 on a single 1841? I'm sure I'd have to get a 4 port LAN WIC, but before I shell out for that, I want to make sure I can do it first.

Thanks

Load balancing is going to have to be configured on both ends of your spectrum. Failover on the otherhand will work regardless.

There is a certain amount of traffic management that has to be in place on both the remote and local routers. That is load balancing cost more to implement.

I could be a tad bit rusty on this but check me before assuming this is absolute.

Yeah, I figured on the incoming I'd have to get with my ISP's, but I'm wondering if I can do it on the outbound. Would seam like a waste to not use a free cable connection. ;)
