Ok my System Secs are in my SIG. Also keep in mind I just did a RE-Install of Windows XP Pro. I am playing at the default settings and getting around 25-30 frames avarage....

I just pre ordered this game not that long ago, and I really don't wanna play it with that low of a FPS. I tried to turn down all the settings the lowest and it made no diffrence ? I tured them up to the highest and funny thing is ... still no diffrence:( I alt tabed out and I checked and my CPU usage is 100% constantly and PF usage is at 326. I need new Processor cause I highly doubt ma 9700 pro is to the point where it is not playable. I got the latest cat's drivers, latest windows update. I use spybot ad-aware Norton Antivirus, I run reg clean and Power Tools Reg cleaner. I try to keep my system up to date as much as possible.

I am thinking about getting a new MOBO, Processor, and Ram. But I don't have much cash. From what I have right now what diffrence do you think a Barton 2500 with Asus Nforce 2 chipset make ? mind you I would have to keep using the same ram for a little while until I could get the cash together for more and at a faster speed.

What is your opinion or do you think I should take a diffrent route ? It's kinda funny cause Unreal Tournament also was a CPU hog when it first came out ;) It is making me kinda scared to see what Battle Field Vietnam is gonna run like  :(

Thx for any help in advance -SHAGGYMCP

dude i have

XP1700
Geforce 4 ti 4200 128 mb
512 mb PC3200

and im playing it at 1280x 1024 the only thing i turned off was detailed textures and trilinier filtering. and mine never dropes below 35 and it looks great. my average is prolly around 45-50 on the onslaught map and the deathmatch its around 60

so somehting must be wrong with ur setup or something

o and i have a MSI nforce 2 ulta 400 delta board

its too bad we can't compare timedemo scores in ut2004. in ut2003 demo it came with benchmark demos you could run. but you can't use 'demorec' in this demo, it doesn't let you. argh. i really want to test graphic different settings to see what works best but can't.

Check out my setup, and I only get around 40fps in most areas of the game, and it will hiccup to 30 in cases in intense battles. CAT 4.2's didn't make a difference either, and hell the game doesn't even have the highest quality settings either.

Lets just hope its a demo thing......

I can't explain your problems, other than you've maybe left AA or AF running accidently. I'm running 12x10, 2X/8X with physics detail set to low, and coronas and decals off, and my framerate never drops below 40 even in heavy firefights. I'm running Omega 4.1.

I'm getting subpar framerate too on my system. I have it on 1024x768 , normal detail except for world and player detail. AA and AF are both off. I go down to the 20s in combat sometime.

Well, you must understand that it is, in fact, a demo. I remember UT2003 running a good deal faster than its demo.

At default settings, I get 50 or so FPS with an 1800+, Radeon 8500le 64mb, and 384mb pc2100.

Another thing, people are mostly comparing onslaught mode, which will obviously have the lowest fps of them all.

Here does this help
Heres first set of scores at 1600X1200 and 2XAA and 2X ANTI on a FX51 at 2402MHZ and a 9800XT with Overdrive enabled

I seem to be doing ok framerate-wise, but I keep getting stuttering in Bombing Run. (So far I've played that & deathmatch). It seems to happen whenever I get the ball, which is really annoying seeing as that's about the last time you want to have a little hangup in BR.
Deathmatch is nice and smooth, except for the dripping water making me think I'm seeing artifacts lol.

70-120fps on my system most of the time indoors (DM) and 50-80 outside. settings maxed 1280x1024 with 4xAA

this leads me to believe it is a cpu hog, look at mine.

lowest I have seen is around 35 right when i was in the middle of an ion painter explosion with tons of people and a tank blowing up around me...good times

This is weird shit.... This is with EVERYTHING to FULL AA AF all of it to full.... That is to wired for me... with everything to low it ran like ass but with everything to full it is fine ? to weird.
