I'm curious if anyone knows of software or a way to remotely control an itunes computer (the computer is on the same lan as the powerbook with the music), kind of like how an airport express base station shows up as a pair of speakers. I can share my music easily, but I would like to control what plays on my windows box (which is hooked up to klipsch promedias) with my wireless powerbook.

TIA for any thoughts/opinions.

Easiest way I can think of is do sharing like you are now, and just VNC in to control it.

You could setup a streaming server on the PB, and just tune into it with the Windows box. Then the PB is like a radio station, and other machines only play what it's outputting. This also make any machine able to listen in to the broadcast. I'm unsure how to acheive this in OS X though, so that'll take some footwork.

I actually found this after looking it up.

They have servers for most popular OSes

My tiger server houses my tunes. I am working on a way to just use a share on it to form a centralized library to windows boxes, but for the moment, I am using the share function from the main library. It works fairly well...but you obviously can't update the library from the windows boxes this way.
