Hello All,

Just a quick question --

I have a Tripp Lite PDU bought in the USA.

It is apparently a 15A, 120V unit.

Can I use this for 220V? Based on my limited knowledge of electronics, then I should be able to use it at 220V but with reduced amperage:

15A @ 120V = 1800W
1800W / 220V = 8.18A max

Is this correct or should I not even try?

The unit is listed below.

Thanks! :)

A few less amps wouldn't be worth catching something on fire... what your wanting to do may work but it has 120v plugs on it so you or anyone else plugs something 120v into what you have made to 220v there going to blow something up if whatever it is can not handle the voltage
