Use USB & 3.5mm speakers at the same time?

Long story short, I have two sets of Logitech 2.1 speakers. I am currently using one set that hooks up via 3.5mm but I'd like to add in a second 2.1 setup but the only issue is that it hooks up via USB. I am not aware of any way to utilize both sets at the same time (Windows assignable audio sucks) but figured I'd see if any [H] members had any better knowledge? Thank you gents, cheers

You didnt say how you wanted to use them.

Surrond sound is out because each pair is seen as a sound card.

You might be able to get them to play sound from different apps. Like music on one set, YouTube on the other...

Ideally I'd like to use them as a 4.2 setup BUT I'd be happy if I could just mirror what's on one set to the other, i.e. 4 channel stereo. I don't really have an interest in playing different things on each set, it'd be best if I could at least play the same thing through both setups.

4.2 likely not possible.

My advice is to sell them and buy a 5.1 system

Yep, jerry rigging will get you a kludge.
Instead, dump the old and buy a proper new set.
