Use Intel PROSet or Windows to manage wireless?

I've got a Dell E1505 laptop, and I just wondered if it made much difference if you used Intel's PROSet to manage your wireless connection, or if you got any better performance if you let Windows handle it? Is there really any differences/advantages to using one over the other?

If it matters I have a Linksys WRT54G with latest DD-WRT.

Intel Proset all the way. Much more robust and flexible if you travel with your lappy. MS's XPsp2 Wifi manager is a HUGE improvement over the original, but still has an annoying habit of attaching to random open AP's instead of "Preferred" networks on occasion.

both my work and personal laptops have intel cards in them. personally i prefer the intel software to manage the connection profiles etc. plus if for any reason i have connectivity problems then the intel software is usually better at pointing out whats wrong.
