USB headset for MBP

So I want to pick up a headset for gaming. This is mostly for teamspeak for WoW. And yes, I know that my MBP has speakers and a built-in mic, but the mic isn't loud enough, and I don't want my room mate to have to suffer through the endless geek chatter from my speakers. It's bad enough that she has to live with me.
So, do the side USB ports have enough juice to power a usb headset?
And if so, suggestions on brands? I have heavily pierced ears, so things that don't put too much pressure on the ears would be nice.

I have this headset ... and while it's decent sound quality/excellent mic quality, it's uncomfortable as crap for long amounts of time. After running an instance in WoW i'm ready to throw that thing off. Hurts my ears like crazy. Then again I have a big head, might have something to do with it...takes a big head for all that knowledge up there I guess

Heh, good to know about the hurting the ears. I have 12 bits of metal in my ears, so I need something that won't compress them too bad.
