Hi, after having some power flickers from wind storms, my PC (on a surge protector) handled a couple flickers without incident. But last night, my PC lost power, and booting it back on, things are... not good.

Long story short: I need/want a UPS. I have done my searches and found recommendations for

Then I started reading about Pure Sine wave UPSes ('s?) essessses? for Active PFC PSUs

I read just a couple posts saying their computers with active PFC work fine on non-pure sine wave UPS's. Is the general consensus that it's not worth bothering over?

That one isn't a whole lot more. Thoughts?

Thanks!

It varies depending on the PSU and the UPS, but generally speaking, most PSUs should work fine with simulated sine wave UPSes.
