From a GTX 460 1GB ===> What would be a nice jump without getting the top performer out there? One of these in mind: GTX 770/760, GTX 660 Ti. Don't really play games that demand the top cards...but a nice jump would make me happy.

Any advice?

What are the current specs of your PC?
What's the max resolution of your monitor?
What's your max budget for this upgrade?
What games are you playing right now that you want to feel/see an improvement in?

Will be upgrading to a 4770K and a compatible board and 16GB of memory. Monitor is maxed out at 1920x1080. Pretty much playing games such as Diablo III and other similar RPGs. Nothing like first person shooter types of games. My 460 isn't too bad unless I hit a scene filled with monsters then my video card really chokes.

Would prefer Nvidia side of the GPUs over the AMD's.

Just mentioned them as they are getting very great performance at a stellar price if you actually look at the data. 1920x1080 a 760 level is ample, 770 would be pushing it, 780 or above honestly that cost could be better elsewhere IMHO, R9-270/270x/7870/R9-280x/7970/660Ti/760/770 or so would all give great performance for 1080p. most new titles coming out are being heavily optimized for AMD FYI.

Depends on what you call performance. For 120/144 Hz a single 780 is not enough at 1080P. I say get a GTX 780 and sell the game bundle to recoup ~50 bucks (if you don't want the games).

Totally worth the ~500 bucks spent, or buy used on [H] for around ~400-425 bucks.

I'm guessing that someone running an older card with games that aren't so demanding isn't running a high refresh rate (speaking from experience). Even with the price drops, the 780 is still a significant jump in price over cards that are one tier lower. Also since we're at the end of this generation of cards, I think all of the 1080P cards mentioned will be due for an upgrade by the end of next year or not long after.
