Curious to know your opinions on upgrading my i7-2600k to an i7-3770k...worth the $200 or so bucks it would cost? I'm on an 1155 platform and don't particularly want to invest the additional money to transition over to the 2011 for the 4th gen i7s but do you all think that would yield a better return?

Come one, come all, show me your assholes...not your actual assholes, just your opinions....you know...opinions are like assholes.....ahhh whatever.

I don't think it's really worth it. I doubt you would even notice a difference. I'd say OC your 2600k if you haven't already.

Not in the slightest bit. I chose a 2700K over a 3770k precisely because of the heat issues. Going to the 4790k is another matter. If I stayed quad core that would be my first choice.

I pondered about getting a 4790k too from my 2600k but after seeing that most of the 4790k struggle to reach 4.8ghz, my 4.6ghz 2600k seems like a champ.

I went from a 2600k to a 3770k myself...not a big difference....and worse if you consider the 2600k can hit 5.2Ghz, and my 3770k maxes at 4.8Ghz. You'll be better served with a 4790k.

Well I have no intentions of overclocking, I've kind of fallen off the [H] wagon with that.
