Hi everyone its my first post here and I hope you can help. I'm looking at upgrading my 8800gts 640mb but I'm not sure how much my Corsair 520HX will be able to power. I believe it can provide 40A on the 12V rail so does that mean I could choose any of the top Graphics cards? I saw this post in which none of the cards were rated higher than 22A http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1374256 Using the eXtreme power supply calculator my recommended PSU wattage was 417w even with a 4870X2. So would my PSU be fine with the upcoming 285GTX?
My Specs E6850, 4 Sticks of DDR2 800, 1 hdd,1 DVD/CD re-writer, 2 120mm fans

I would say that you should be fine with a either one of those cards. So long as you keep your CPU reasonably clocked, your system isn't drawing much power yet.

Your current PSU can handle any video card that's out there. There's no need to really worry about power requirements. Even the 4870X2 would be fine, although that would be getting a little close to the limit.
