I have been running a Titan X since it came out...… Best money I have spent in a long time. However today I pulled the trigger on an EVGA 2080 TI FTW3 Ultra Gaming. I will let you know how it shakes out tomorrow when I get the card installed.
Asus P67 SaberTooth
Intel I7 2600k @ 4.7ghz 1.325vcore
8GB Gskill Ripjaws 24-8-8-8
Custom Watercooling
EVGA Titan X Superclocked
Evga SR2 1200w PSU
Is the 2080Ti going into your sig rig? It'd be interesting to compare the performance of your new card vs if you'd kept the Titan X and used the funds for a new CPU, MOBO & Ram.
Are you playing on 4k or a 120+ Hz monitor?
You effectively doubled your performance. The Titan Xp was more than 60% faster than the GTX Titan X, and the 2080 Ti is 30-40% faster than the Titan Xp.Well, reporting back after a day or two with the new 2080ti, All I can say is what a difference! I should have upgraded a long time ago. I can now run most games using 4k DSR downscaled to 1440p with all settings cranked to the nuts and hold a solid 60+ fps. Now the true question was it worth the price premium? time will tell... Anyone looking to upgrade from a titan x to this should do so immediately!
