Been on my 28 inch hanns-g since early 2008 i think my monitor is failing on me i dunno but everytime i first turn on my comp my picture goes in and out and stays out at one point for a minute then goes on and stays on without any problems after that unless the monitor goes into sleep mode then i wake it up it goes on and off again. I feel like it needs to warm up or something every time. so havnt been in the display game for a few years. What i am looking for in a monitor is size i loved the 28 inch screen i dont see to many out there now seems like 27 inch is the new 28? Dont really care if its either 1080p or 1200p. Looking for something under 500. what do you all recomend?

i-Inc sells a 28" (1200p). Never seen any others. It's an unusual size for sure. Any reason you don't want 27? Lots more options there.

Some one on here had the Planar and reported that it had very obvious ghosting

Samsung S27A650D (semi-glossy MVA panel, extremely deep blacks, good viewing angles, good color, low input lag medium response time) PRAD reviewed the 24", 27" should have equal performance

HP 2711x (glossy TN with a good track record on [H])

Samsung S27A350H (matte TN)

Asus VE278Q (matte TN, 18ms of input lag)

I-inc and Hans G are budget brands now and have faded into obscurity
