Updating my BIOS

i was just looking on the asus site to see what cpu my mobo (asus a7v333) could support. from my understanding i went through and clicked the type of cpu i was looking for (athlon xp 2500) and my mobo can support it but i had to update my bios which i did to the version it said that supported it. well im just making sure but does this mean my mobo will be able to support the 2500 now? before it would only support the 2000. thanks
