*Updated* 2.5" SATA SSDs (Various Retailers)

$169 for the 2TB version is pretty good too, but I presume these are all DRAM-less. Does it really matter on a SATA drive / secondary game drive?
It depends on how many background writes and whatnot are going on when the power cuts. You could always just turn off write caching for the drive.

Theres a bunch of team group 1tb drives ax2, cx2, ex2, gx2 on amazon for usually $75 -$85. No idea what the differences are.

TeamGroup themselves don't seem to delineate between these at all. If you "compare" on their site, there are basically no differences listed.

From another thread from another site, I found the following quote:

"The AX2, CX2 & EX2 all appear to be similar. They apparently have SLC flash cache, but no DRAM cache. They supposedly perform slightly better than the earlier cacheless GX2 model. However, the GX2 is rated for 3x as many writes (400 TBW for the 512 GB GX2, vs only 120 TBW for the other models)."

So... no DRAM apparently, but some have SLC cache.
