Damn, I cant wait for this new patch. Hopefully they'll implement the res changes too.
 
they wont, not likely.....but if they did it would be awsome.

they want people to buy D3, so they dont want to make D2 look too good.

I don't think the question was "who is baal" but instead "who does baal runs."

Uber leveling is THE most boring thing I've ever subjected myself to. Uber Diablo is kind of cool, Uber Meph/Baal are just stupid. They need to nerf the game as whole, it's gotten out of hand.
 
Last night I downloaded the medianxl mod...its...confusing, to say the least, but very interesting. Completely changes more or less everything and is definitely worth checking out. Apparently there's also a network of mod "realms" out there for multiplayer as well.

It is cheap but it's nice because you can have a group ubering you while you afk.

The game has far too many little problems that likely wont be fixed.
 
chiming in to comment on those screenshots, very nice. Kind of makes me want to play some again.

edit: but how fun is it playing solo? :(

Third screenshot is broken, it has a color other than black or grey in it, is that some kind of D3 mod?

Possibly, but you can also go (mostly) afk for a couple hours and come back to a brand new 80+ if you're just trying new builds, which is kind of nice given no respecs.
 
Krenum, are you using this mod in single player or while logged onto battlenet? I can't get it to work with battlenet. The highest resolution I see is 1368 X 760. What can I do to get 1900 X 1200?
 
I really liked the look of the environments in the D3 trailer, the lush outdoor jungle was pretty cool. I thought the characters looked a bit too cartooney though.
