Undervolting RAM - what to dumb down?

I built a HTPC out of some old kit, and am using some old Ballistix RAM in it (pc3200, DDR400). My mainboard wants to run it at 2.8 volts, but I'd like to take it down to 2.5 volts to keep the innards a little cooler.

Unfortunately, when I reduce the voltage to 2.5V, I don't pass memtest. The sticks are currently running at 200MHz, with the following timings:

CL......2.0
rRCD..2
rRP.....2
tRAS...8
tRC.....11
CR......2T

I can adjust all of those settings, and also lower the speed of the RAM.

Which timings (or speed) should I monkey with first to get it stable at the lower voltage?

Thanks a bunch.

2.5v to 2.8v on DDR1 is not going to make more than 1-2c difference in overall temps if even that. Do a real before/after test with a digital probe to see what the inside the computer case temps are.

I would try 2.6v or 2.7v before loosening up the RAM timings if you really want to lower the voltage.
