Unable to Start Thermalake 750W SP-750P start up by short PS_ON pin to COM. Nothing happened.

We have a never been used Thermaltake 750W SP-750P ATX power supply. We tried to start this power supply.
On the 24 pin connected, we shorted the pin #16 (PS_ON) to pin #15 (com) with jumper.
We connect the power to 110VAC. Turn the switch on.
Nothing happened.
Did we do something wrong there?

Tried to contact Thermaltake customer service for weeks, no response. What happened?

Make sure you're shorting the correct pins, it looks like the entire wire set is black going to the ATX connector, which can make it difficult to be sure you have the right pins shorted.

You might want to just try plugging it into a motherboard and see if it powers up, because a DOA PSU is pretty rare.
 
Thermaltake claimed since we do not have original invoice or purchase receipt, they will not honor any warranty. Now these Thermaltake power supplies are junk.

Think twice buying this brand. Highly NOT recommend this brand.
 
Quite a few companies won't honor warranties without a receipt/invoice, you can't knock TT for that. Warranty fraud is a big problem.

Maybe you can find someone that can diagnose your power supplies to give you a second opinion.
 
Its possible the unit is DOA, but my experience with thermaltake warranties/PSUs has been pretty great. Have you tried plugging it into a machine and using it as normal? Is the power strip the PSU is connected to turned on? :p (been there)
