Unable to Play HD DVD or Blu Ray

Hi there I can't play Blu Ray Disc or HD Disc.
My Computer does not even show Disc in there.
However DVD and CD works fine.
HD DVD I have tried was Ocean 13 and Blu Ray Disc was XXX
My Computer is as follow
Video Card: GeForce 8800 GTS
Optical Drive GGC-H20L (LG)
CPU is E3110
Mem = 3.5 Gig
OS XP SP3 32 Bit
Monitor is Samsung Sync Master 245 bw Hooked via DVi
Player is from LG Cyber Link 7.3
 
Did you download the updates to PowerDVD to support HD-DVD and Blu? I had to download updates before I could get any HD discs to play.
 
yeah you need software, you cannot use a HD/bluray dive w.o software with out powerDVD or something similar
