Unable to install Ubuntu 6.10

I downloaded Ubuntu 6.10 today off their website, and I decided to try and install it on my current machine below. I am able to get past the menu where you can choose to Start or Install Linux Ubuntu...but then I get these repeated errors...

What could be the problem?

I ran the memtest off the cd and my system passed multiple times.

press f6 at boot and try the options irqpoll, noapic, and nolapic. obviously this is a hard drive issure. if you have windows on the machine it could have to do with the ntfs partition.
