For those interested,

Dear customer,

UltraMon 3.0 Beta 1 has been released, this release introduces a redesigned Smart Taskbar with toolbar docking and support for the Windows Vista look.

Please note that this release is less mature than UltraMon 2.7.1, and is mainly recommended if you:

- are using Windows Vista,
- are affected by an issue which was fixed in this release,
- or want to try the new features

See the release notes at http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/relnotes/3.0.0.asp for more information, the new release can be downloaded from http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/download_beta.asp.

Please send feedback to [email protected], this e-mail comes from an unmonitored account and replies will be ignored.

It works great, so far. There has been a few things removed for this beta, but will most likely be added in the future; i.e buttons. There's also some new and anticipated features, but you'll have to check the release notes and give it a whirl. Again, this is a beta, so while some things may not work well, please just submit the proper bug reports and give the author some patience to smooth out the issues.

Thanks!! I've been waiting for this.. Thanks for the head up.. Going to go d/l it right now..

Been playing around with this for a few hours and I can say that under Vista, this version is alot better...

digital_exhaust, if you haven't worked out the resize issue yet, lemme trow it out there.

From what Christan said, the smart taskbar is really, really connected to the main taskbar with Vista. So, to make any changes to the smart taskbar, you have to unlock the main taskbar, disable then re-enable the smart taskbar. Otherwise, Resize or color changes don't work. There seems to be an issue with the style change after coming out of fullscreen mode, too, gonna have to drop a bug on that one. Other than that, functionally speaking, it's working great!

Hmm.. thought more [H]'ers used Ultramon, maybe this should be in the display forums?

Thanks for that, I haven't had any issues yet, but that's good to know.
