Thanks, bought 2. I highly doubt the "2000 lumen" claim but I have a bunch of spare 18650 batteries.

This really seems odd for that level of power/bulb quality.
"Output bright can come to 10 W (MAX)"
Huge waste of $5. Look at the pictures on the listing
Wtf? a square beam?
Thanks picked up one of these too. I was just going to use AAA since I have a bunch but might as well use what these are really designed for. Here's a set of 2 batteries and a wall charger for those who need them - $5.98 shipped from a USA seller:
18650 Rechargeable Battery For LED Torch 2x4000mAh UltraFire3.7v+Battery Charger

Those batteries are fakes though. Do they work? Yes. But for only like 10 minutes, if that. Real 18650's are more expensive for a reason.
Mine ordered from the same seller last around 5 hours at the brightest setting on my XM-L handheld flashlight, and around 3 hours on my 3xT6 headlamp. Is it the claimed 4,000mAh? Nope, not even close... more like 2,000mAh. But at that price it doesn't matter to me.
This thing will not even be close to 1k lumen OTF, no less 2k. Most people have no idea how bright 2k lumens would be. With that said, this light is probably far brighter than what most people have ever seen, and at under 5 bucks is not bad, just remember the batteries are costly, but are also worth it.
I already stated that this light was not even close to being 2k lumens. For 5 bucks, I bet it is around 500 tops.

Is that an actual XM-L? What amp draw is that at? What Driver does it have? Do you know OTF lumen? Probably not even 2,000mAh, but that is not the biggest worry, depending on where you order many of these have issues with exploding or catching fire, and many of them are not properly regulated (voltage) either. SOME places have the "good" knock offs, which for the price are a great bang for the buck. However my local Frys had the Tenergy ones on sale for $1.50 a pop, rated at 2600mAh, so I picked up quite a few of those last year, all my others are Panasonic 3,400mAh.
Also, for anyone looking for extra batteries I saw this on SD earlier:
4 PCS of NCR18650B 18650 3400mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery Protected Battery
4-pack Panasonic 3400mah 16850 cells $16 with free shipping (use coupon code SD18650). You can also get another $2 off if you're a new customer making these $13 - Just register for an account BEFORE you make your purchase, wait for your new customer 100 EB points email to come in, and then apply the 100 points when completing your purchase.
Like the earlier battery + charger deal I posted I have no idea on the build quality of these. I'm assuming they're slightly better than the Ebay cheapies....
If they are real Panasonic, they are the best you can buy, and at $13, is a steal....Assuming they are real. Have a link to the SD thread? Someone might have bought them before and know.
I bought 4..cause for $15.20 why the fuck not
