Ultra X2 X-Connect modular review

think itts a little different than the one you posted though
they said it was alright
personally i dont like it, im sticking wiht antec, and ocz on the modular psu's

Yeah, those are the X-Finity series PSU's. I'm not sure if the internals/guts are the same though. Maybe someone has some insite on that?
I currently have a Vantec Stealth 520A . It's a great PSU, only problem is its too big for my mid-tower plexi case. I can't mount a fan in the top blow-hole as the PSU, with all its connected cabling, is in the way. I've been waiting to pick-up a decent modular replacment that's a little smaller, so I can clean up the cabling mess.
I was on the Antec Smartpower 2.0 500W hunt, but since I have a plexi-box I'm wanting something with a little more bling factor. I heard back in Sept/Oct that they had a 2nd gen on it's way that would support dual rails, and use the Flex-Force cabling for the modular connections. I've seen/read/heard all the mixed reviews for the 1st gen, but I figured I'd wait to buy a new PSU until someone had a chance to check one of the 2nd gens out.

Funny.. Someone asks about the X2 and one person brings up the X-Finity and the other brings up a two year old X-Connect.

It was you who I read that mentioned an upcoming 2nd gen, so I've been waiting for its release. Now that X-mas is here, and my G/F's PSU fan is dying, I'm heading out to Fry's on Friday to see if they have 1 in stock. Outpost has'em for $89.99, so I may get lucky. ( My G/F will get the "hand-me-down" Vantec )
