So who decides what a non-conventional sex act is? Is there a list of approved conventional sex acts somewhere? What some people find objectionable, others might find appealing. Some people say "potato" while others say "not in there you're not." :D

Web users in the UK will be banned from accessing websites portraying a range of non-conventional sexual acts, under a little discussed clause to a government bill currently going through parliament. The proposal, part of the digital economy bill, would force internet service providers to block sites hosting content that would not be certified for commercial DVD sale by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).
 
I guess ass to mouth will not be an approved conventional sex act, nor would Mom and Dad bang the Babysitter. Sucks for the UK.

I am starting to think the UK doesn't exactly have freedom of speech like the USA. And I always thought they did.
 
This guy got into trouble and went to jail for the way that he subjugated women in his videos and forced them to do acts of debauchery. Then after he broke their spirits he would seemingly "torture" them to create his art. He was way over the top and went to jail.

The US bans kiddie porn (not too many disagree with this) and porn with 18+ er, models?, who pretend to be under 18 regardless of their real age.

If this law is along those lines, hard core SM, BD, CBT, or other more "extreme" paraphilia I can almost see it.

The more puritanical the more obscene such a law would be.

The difference is the with kiddie porn you have victim. and that is what wrong with american mindset. it all based on what you like or dont like.
that why you can group kidie porn together with BDSM and CBT. cause you are judging it by it being something you don't like.

Not that I endorse his crap... but he was convicted on an obscenity charge not kidnapping or forcibly doing anything. He paid well and many actors, who where either new or not getting any other work took him up on the offer of employment. As the wiki states he wasn't that popular in the larger porn industry. He had a small group of actors he produced the majority of his material with. He made that style if you wanna call it that of production more popular then the industry or the gov cared for. Cause yes it did push things pretty darn far and helped spawn an industry of hardcore gonzo crap, that hurt the traditional porn industries pocket book and made policing the industry a lot harder for the feds.

He had one actress that he tortured on tape even when she was crying for him to stop. I call it torture when you are literally choking someone while forcing yourself on them. Then after she accepted her fate he really did her in. It was like she disconnected her brain from her body for the scene. That was one of the damning tapes was that sent him to prison. I believe that she committed suicide later.

It's the religious conservatives that are pushing for this form of censorship. Even the GOP has it in their platform to be anti-porn.
 
Actually the USA laws are straight forward. One it has to be consensual, two there has to be records on file with all the participants being over the age of eighteen and legally allowed to see porn in their state or residences, four you can not include any unnatural acts, which include anal penetration, include any animals that can not read write and testify they are human, restraints, and orgies which are random pairing of couples aka swingers which trade partners not determined ahead of time. Which is funny since a good third of the internet likely has all of the above up there that no one wants to look at to investigate.

In Florida all the above is termed bestiality in the statutes and illegal. The UK laws are likely to simply prevent kids from seeing something on the internet and thinking it is normal. I do have to make a joke if screw the babysitter and then pay her, you better hope that she was related first... snicker since paying a woman for sex is still soliciting... if she accepts a prostitute is she presses charges harassment and soliciting an honest and decent woman. If you pay the babysitter and she slept with your kid if your kid presses charges it is an unnatural act and child abuse as well as statuary rape but if they laugh and refuse to press charges you consented to your child having sex with an older person, and you can not press charges. If you press charges in the child's name after paying the babysitter it is fraud and entrapment. Depending on which state you are in it can be a legal mess for years...

I slept with several of my older female babysitters and only one got in trouble because of the neighbors called the cops and both of us had burn marks and were in the shower with oatmeal on my clothes and hers and some going down the drain. My fault and if I had been eighteen they would have treated us for burned and told not to play around with oatmeal and gone on. Since I was four years younger the cops had a apb out for her arrest until I ran into her at Disney Media Group and she got an appeal to the notice she ran from rather than go to prison for trying to keep me from being burned because I spilled a huge crap pot of oatmeal on myself. I still have the scars on both arms and she has ones on her chest where she grabbed me to her chest and carried me twenty feet to a bathroom shower to prevent worse burns... snicker tshirts and jeans are not water proof so cops see a child and older woman in the shower with burns and clothes in the bottom... ya they really should have treated that differently. She never had a boyfriend as a result of that for years until I got her out of trouble but then she was pregnant and sorta in another awkward situation...

The point is that what is legal to show on the internet is likely always going to be less than what people try to sneak up there but if you don't write the laws there is a lot more of it up there because the groups that pay for that kind of thing are looking for people being hurt, while they sit some where else.
 
Censorship, pure and simple. Glad I don't intend to go to the UK anytime soon... like, ever.

Same here in Canada, even though we are currently left of our center. Both sides might talk different, but they are mostly just the same policies, minor differences in who is impacted based on color, sex, religion and race.

The Digital Economy Bill received an unopposed third reading from MPs, meaning that it is on its way to becoming law. As such, it will force pornographic websites to add age verification checks that won't let people watch videos until they sign up to a special verification programme.

It's a very, very bad precedent. Although the US and UK are two fundamentally different countries in terms of policy and influence, there's enough between the two of us that policy changes can change in tandem. We're already hearing words of net neutrality being threatened here and it IS in the Republican party platform that porn is a "national health crisis."
