Ugly GPUs

Heh .... was going to post about the Yestons and see the n00b beat me to it. :D
Some of those hurt my eyes. Gamer's Nexus included that Waifu in their 5700 XT roundup. Subjectivity to be sure. Cultural, whatever. Suppose there is enough a market for that sort of thing if they offer a $1,400 kitty case to show off your pulsing 580.

Did you purposefully cut out the part of his statement that makes an appreciable difference in what he's saying? Erek is a bit notorious around here for collecting old video cards (particular 3DFX stuff but I've seen him post a bunch of other old and/or rare stuff). Hell, I bet most of the old green PCB cards in this thread are exactly what he considers to be a good looking GPU. Different strokes and all that. Point being, for his personal collection of old video cards, a small, sleek, modern looking card like the one Intel is showing off obviously doesn't fit his collection (which is the important part you've ignored), but that doesn't mean he still can't acknowledge that it's an ok looking card.

Why are you so determined to pick a fight with this guy?

Just something I've seen erek get some flack for.

With regards to the topic at hand. These cotton candy colored girly gpu's are hilarious.

The scantily clad anime girl ones are just plain creepy.
 
Not my style, but at least they are trying something different.

The whole Michael Bay Transformer aesthetic is getting old.

if people want a card to look like that, they should make removable shrouds so you can custom paint them. But how many of those cards are they going to sell like that? That is probably the cheap one too, so you have to spend extra to not get it.

Anyways, I actually love these girly GPUs. They're just so temporal, but it's so deliberate.
It stands in contrast to those serious designs that obviously still go out of fashion in a few years anyways.

At least now we know that it's meant to be a very specific and temporary design.
You can't future-proof some garishly pink abomination. It's a short-term design meant for a person who sees it and responds emotionally.

And that's why I want it. 💖
