I'm trying to install win7 on a new intel ssd. I setup a USB drive as a uefi boot and I can successfully boot the install program from it. However I stored my ssd driver files on that same USB drive.

When it is time to install on a drive it doesn't see the ssd drive (which is expected). I then try to load the driver for it. However when searching for the intel ssd driver all I can see is the ramdrive the installation files created. I can only see the boot drive x:\ which has only windows installation files. How can I navigate the USB drive at its real root during this part of the installation so i can point it to my driver files?

The thread can be deleted. I figured out I was not too smart and had the USB drive plugged into a usb3 port which uefi doesn't support. Using usb2 now and installation is under way.
