two OS's to choose from..help!

After i reformatted my laptop, i installed xp pro instead of the original xp home. Now it gives me the option of booting XP PRO or XP Home. I know home doesn't even exist on the machine because i just did a reformat. How do i tell the comp to forget about it? any info is much appreciated.

Control Panel --> System --> Advanced.

At the bottom under "Startup and Recover," choose "Settings."

Then, under "System Startup," click "Edit." This will allow you to manually edit your "boot.ini" file. Just delete the line containing OS that you are no longer using.

or boot the windows XP Pro CD with the recovery console mode (After all the drivers load)
type "fixmbr" (without quotes) and follow the prompts.

You can also kill it in msconfig under boot.ini or sysedit.
