Two Nics, 2 networks. One is so slow

I have a Windows XP Pro with two nic. One is connected to a corporate domain. The other is connect to an switch with some other workgroup based computers. I can see both networks from windows explorer the domain network is fast, but the workgroup takes 30 seconds to display the computers. The domain is DHCP and the workgroup is fixed IP's. I tried changing the order in advanced network settings - to no avail. Any help - please?

corp network will have dns wins setup so it gan pull that info quickly, home will be using netbios so has to probe the network ;)
 
You gain a lot by being on a domain.

About 30 seconds I'd say. :p

*ill add.. depending how you set it up you can add all of that on the workgroup side as well. but the better question is... do you need the speed ? also just shortcut the box's 192.168.0.2 3 4 5 etc etc why query if you know the ip/name ?
