I have two 4870x2 cards. Can I use xp 64 bit to crossfire these, or will I be forced to install vista?

why would you want to use windows xp......? wont be able to take advantage of direct x 10.0 if you do. crossfire requires a crossfire capable motherboard.......as far as i know it doesnt depend on if your using windows 64 bit or not. someone correct me if im wrong though.

Seriously, with that firepower i'd imagine you have more than 2 gigs of ram.
Just go to Vista, it's a better overall system.
But yes, you CAN stick with x64 xp...

I may have to just end up installing vista, but I've just been hearing that ATI crossfireX does not work on xp at all. (4 gpus) I just wanted to confirm if this is actually true or not? I just don't like the idea of an fps loss going from xp to vista which I see in most articles. I'm running 3 gigs of ram btw, paired with a 920 i7 cpu.

PM Joe Average. He knows XP64 better than Microsoft. Ranma Sao would be another user to ask (he works for MS on OSes).
