Twitch bans Adults Only games

What constitutes a AO game is bullshit, ESRB plays favorites there is not a single reason why a game like GTA V is not a AO game other then its industry leverage.

I wonder if this has less to do with hyper violent games like Hatred and more about pornography oriented games.

We all know sue-happy the porn industry is when someone pirates a movie through the torrents. Maybe they are just using the AO as an easy out?

So no more streaming online poker games?

That is an adult only game for real money as you have to be over 18....but it doesnt do ESRB ratings :D

I bet hitbox.tv will allow it. If it's gonna be on steam you could stream there too. Before people cry censorship(like in the news section), this is Twitch's decision, a private company. They probably weighed the pros vs cons and there were more cons with allowing it. Although Twitch is pretty shitty at enforcing their own rules. I remember when they said no more "cleavage", yet there are a bunch of former cam girls still streaming. Some of them even put it in their description that they know they just get viewers because of their boob jobs. So maybe we will see Hatred on twitch after all.

Why should they allow Hatred on Twitch? People always complain about how gratuitous violence is acceptable when sexuality isn't, well Hatred is about as gratuitous as it gets. Neither really has a place where maintaining the good will of advertisers and the general public is concerned. Twitch isn't supposed to be a "free-speech platform" so this move makes perfect sense.

All this commotion around Hatred is nothing more than one big knee-jerk reaction resulting from certain press outlets at their usual click-baiting agenda; writing sensationalist articles about a game they had not even played at the time. Anybody with a minimum amount of common sense who has waited to actually play the game, watch videos or read (proper) reviews has found out that Hatred is nothing more than your run of the mill mediocre shooter. There are far worse, more shocking games out there.

Then really they should have petitioned for a M rating instead of wearing the AO like a badge of courage and using it for marketing purposes.

I know some here are all about supporting the game that was wrongly criticized by "gaming media", but I can't help but think the developers knew they had a shit game and have capitalized on the controversy.
