Anyone recommend TV review sites? It's hard to find sites that consistently review televisions using the same standards and tests.

I always go to AVSforum.com
I'd start with rtings to get a general idea of what set to do research on then head on over to AVS ( Audio-Visual Science ) to do actual research. Plenty of good information in the Owner's threads. You'll find calibration settings in these threads that will get the most out of your new TV. I've been a member of AVS for a while.
If you are looking for a BIG TV that isn't curved then put Sony on your short list. Vizio is OK too if you aren't picky and want a decent set for a decent price. I did my research last year and ended up with a 75" Sony X850C but looking at the Sony 75" X940D FALD set while they are sitting at $4000 at Amazon/Best Buy.
