What settings should I use for TV recordings? What resolution? Best Codec? Anything that is relvant.

Perhaps a little more info regarding programs and hardware? Do you want the best quality? The best quality to space ratio, do you plan to burn to dvd's, give us something to work with...

Well im just using a WinTV GO card just now but I should be getting a PVR-x50 card later this year, im using WinTV 2000 to view the signal from my satellite box. I would like reasonable quality, i.e. fullscreen with as little pixelation. Im not going to be burning them to CD or DVD so size isnt much of an issue but I do want to fit a fair ammount onto my 80Gb disk.

Use FFDShow if you have any sort of CPU horsepower.
