Tumwater for Xeon dual

This was probably the worst review I've read this year. Besides the fact that there are pitifully few benchmarks with almost no accompaning configuration data, he has his facts wrong.

From the first paragraph of this article:
DDR-2 memory in theory offers twice the memory bandwidth over a traditional DDR solution...

This is patently false. DDR2-400 would offer twice the bandwidth of DDR1-200, but that's disingenous. The real comparison should be Tumwater DDR-333 vs DDR2-400, or Opteron DDR1-400 vs Tumwater DDR2-400. In the case of the Opteron vs. Nocona/Tumwater case, the memory bandwidth is _exactly the same_. The only benefit to DDR2 is the decreased power.

Pitiful. I give this review a D-. I only wouldn't give it an F because he at least knows what Tumwater is, even if he doesn't understand the technology behind it.
