It will boot from CD, but after I continue it stops, the line it stops at is HDA: Attached IDE-Disk Driver.

This is the same for other flavors of linux.

System Specs
P4P800 Deluxe
1.25GBs Ram 2-2-2-5
Wetern Digital 100GB, 20GB 200GB on a SIIG ATA133 Card
SBLIVE
LiteOn CD R/RW
Pioneer DVD -R/RW
More on request.

I have tested the drive, it boots fine with the Windows XP cd, so i know it's not the drives.
I've tried some fo the options with no luck.

I've had linux installed on this system before, so this puzzles me to why it is not working.

Thanks for any Help.

are you sure that ide pci card is supported natively?

maybe hook up a hd directly to one of the motherboard's ide slots and see if that helps.

I only have one hard drive hooked up to the ATA card, the 200 Gig. I was thinking that was the problem. I've pulled out the card with no sucess.

Sorry, I should have specified only the 200 gig was hooked up to the ata card.

what version of live cd are you using? maybe try one of the older ones? 2004.0 maybe?

you can use any stagex tarball with an older live cd.
