trying to copy Scrubs DVD to my nas

I get not all sectors can be unencrypted in any dvd HD.
I tried make mkv and the playback locks the same way at the dvd menu.
Right now I am still playing season 1 off my player.
Anyone know how to get around the encryption and copy these DVD's

try using DVD shrink
 
I've had the most success with makemkv personally. When I get a heavily encrypted disk, I pop it open with VLC, play the movie and wait for it to get through all the fbi warnings and previews (get tot he actual movie). Then you figure out in VLC what track its' playing.

Now here's the trick - check the box that says "open the dvd manually" and type the track number you got from VLC into the dialog box.

There's a lot of hard encryption that can fool the auto scanning whatever of rippers, but I've yet to find a single disk where makemkv can't open the track manually and rip (just that one track) properly.

If you're looking for the whole thing, menus and all - I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help. (I'm usually just after the single track)
