truth to higher speed DDR4 (3000) takes longer to post?

I went to the Z170 Asus Deluxe and put in Corsair Vengeance 3000 DDR4 (32gb). I've since then seen two mentions that the higher you go in mem speed XMP the longer any given board will take to post.

I don't have anything lower to try or I'd just test it myself LOL.
 
how about dont use the XMP in bios

This right here. Just set it manually and it won't add a few seconds trying to initialize the XMP profile.

If you want to see if this adds time, just run the RAM at default speed (2133) and time the boot. Then enable XMP and see if the boot time changes.
