triple monitor desk stand!

Nice Work!! I envy people like you if I tried to make something like this it would come out looking like a big steaming pile o duke.

Thanks for pictures of the final product. That looks awesome. If you ever get bored of it, just send it to me. I'll even cover the shipping. ;)

Wow that is really cool, excellent work!
Good work :)

Thank you very much guys!
The painting turned out very well. Final project pics look great.
If you don't already know about it, check out UltraMon for setting up your desktop on multiple monitors.

this will probably NEVER be sent away xD
the powder coating gives the stand a very professional look !
Yea! If i had done it, i woulnt even show the results on here
Wana make me one? Seriously how much? :D
That question has been brought up before (Not on this forum though)

An entire stand costs between 350-500 dollars to make. With shipping to (im guessing the states..) This will problably end up at 800 dollars. And even if you were REALLY interested, i would have serious doubts about the shipping of this stand.

On another note!
There will be more updates :) I have yet to receive the giant mousepad i ordered, and i have some dvi extension cables coming in soon. Will also be redoing the power cords for the sidemonitors. They will be going inside the stand o_O

Stay tuned!

Too bad you cant adjust the angle of the side monitors.

Your stand did a pretty big turn around from the initial photos. Nice to see people create things themself.

to adjust a slight angle, I do it the manual way by loosen the top nuts and tighten the bottom nuts :)

I recently also purchased some swivel plates that looks like this http://goo.gl/DLR2v

cut 2 planks of wood attaching to both sides to allow the monitor to change orientation whenever I like.

how are your viewing angles? and at what degrees and those angles on the monitors? this looks good

Nice job. I am just about done doing something similar. (an ikea jerker eyefinity accessory) :).

Many people have already said that this stand does indeed rock. I'm going to add my comment to all of those already.

Good on you sir for:
having an idea,
going forth with it,
and making that idea's implementation kick a whole lot of ass.

Your first welds looked like my first tries. Surprisingly, I've had a number of things that have held for a long time on my first tries. Nice work, I would have just clear coated it since I the steel looked pretty good kind of retro. You may at some point consider some rubber feet for the bottom to to keep the desk/stand from scratching each other.

In America, the steel would have only cost about $20-30 at full retail. The mounts would have been another $30-50 though. Patience to measure, cut, weld, grind, sand, & paint = PRICELESS.

Wow! I was thinking of something similar, but just don't have the motivation to make it. Maybe I can get my brother to build one for me. I can always trade him computer work for the physical labor. :)
