Tribes: VE released today

you know i thought this was released last week and to hear a patch is released the same day is pretty funny

Dont compare the T2 to T:V, its not even close. Lots of games have patches when released, or at least they should. Its just 2megs, and the more fixes, the better.
 
I doubt any game's patch schedule will ever be as bad as T2 was. They patched the day it was released. Released another later that week. Next week they released a patch that reverted the previous patch. Then a month later released a patch for the unpatch patch. Add in the fact that the gameplay was nearly the same as with Tribes and didn't look all that much better and you have lots of PO'd gamers.
 
didn't the T2 patches only come in small incremental patches that you had to collect all of them in order and apply individually?

At least I recall my friend screaming about something like that while trying not to smash their computer.
 
Yeah. And the patches were frequently bugged or didn't do anything to improve the situation (at least, for me).

I swear, if someone could make Tribes 1 with todays graphics engines, you'd have a great game.

TV is freaking awesome!
I have played T1, and T2, both great fun times to be had but tv is awesome for a company to come out of nowhere and produce something this good....so be happy or don't buy it.

Have you played VE, they even intedrated skiing as part of the game

Its verrrrrry similar to Tribes 1
