Powerbook g4 specs in sig.

So, i'm just sitting here using my computer, and i've got an external mouse plugged in as I usually do when i'm at my desk. Go to unplug the computer to take it into the living room to do some work while watching tv and I notice the trackpad isn't responding. The mouse button is fine, but the trackpad does not respond at all.

I restarted and it was kind of working, very slow to respond to anything and horizontal movement was MUCH slower than vertical movement.

Anyone know wtf is going on here?

If an external mouse works normally, the problem is probably in your trackpad or the cable that connects the trackpad to the motherboard. Just because the trackpad button works doesn't mean the trackpad itself isn't busted.

I've now noticed that when I wake the computer from sleep, the track pad works until I type anything... weird.... Think it may be time to call apple.

You should rule out a software problem first. Boot the Ubuntu PowerPC LiveCD and see if the trackpad works normally there.
