Toyota has a new commercial where it's new C-HR crossover vehicle gets revenge for all of the beatings that the bonus stage car took since 1991. If you grew up and bled Street Fighter II in the arcades, then you know how much of a beating that bonus stage car took over the years! I even had a buddy in college perfect the game on the original arcade machine to unlock the special Sheng Long character, only to find out it was an April Fool's joke. Anyone have fond Street Fighter memories? Sound off in the discussion below!

To assert its mildly-aggressive styling and apparently youthful 'tude, Toyota has put together this TV commercial in Japan, showing it moving through different Street Fighter 2 levels to the tune of Queen's "Keep Yourself Alive" before finally facing off against bad-guy M. Bison (Vega in Japan) and...spoiler...kicking his as*.

Wait...Bison was called Vega in Japan? Then what the hell was Edward Scissorhands called in Japan?? And of course E. Honda is washing the car.....like a little (pun) bitch.

M. Bison or Mike Bison was the fists only russian in japan, Balrog was wolverine, and Vega the end boss. Renamed here in the states while Mike Tyson the boxer was having legal issues and they redid the 8 bit Punch-out with a white 'Mr. Dream' end boss.

That was awesome. They even kept the original sound bits, so many memories. I had SFII Turbo as a kid and that game was so hard for me. I think I only beat Bison once.

to make it less confusing people just call them boxer, claw, and dictator instead of vega, balrog, and bison.

Yeah, Bison seemed difficult until you ended up meeting Akuma. Then you had no idea how easy you had it. That car never would have beaten Akuma.

I used to hate Dhalsin, still remember Ken and Ryu and of course Sagat saying Goumba fire, whilst Blanka would electrocute you and Guile the marine would those those razor blades at you.

If I recall, the Vega outside of Japan was Balrog, or バルログ (Ba-ru-ro-gu). They sure fucked that to hell, but then again, this isn't the first instance in video game history where shit doesn't match up at all when comparing Japan releases to outside Japan releases.

The problem with Dhalsim, is your over here trying to pull off these cool moves doing some little dance with your hands. Meanwhile some chump kid is just randomly hitting a button here and there and those damn long arms and legs are kicking your ass.

Oh please nothing was "fucked" , it was done for potential legal reasons. Just because it doesn't match up with Japan's names is not that huge of a deal. Besides I personally like the name of Vega for a guy from Spain as opposed to Balrog which is Lord of the Rings demon thingy?

I know it's not a huge deal at all. Granted, I don't give a shit at all what someones name is in any country's version of 'x' video game, but I was just stating a point (and I don't really know for what reason to be honest with you). Vega does make more sense for a character from Spain, I agree. I was just going along the lines that there are a lot of instances where names of people (and sometimes game names themselves) go to hell when they go international, tough to keep up with at times.
