Tough time finding my answer, so I have to ask...

set your speaker type to headphones and make sure that you use EAX in games if available. Otherwise, there's not much to change. CMSS is pretty lackluster and takes a lot of resources on the 2zs

DONT put the settings on HEADPHONES EVER... it ruins the sound..

Leave it on 2.0 /stereo..... and enjoy.

You think so? I actually never A/B'ed them to notice. I'll have to try that this afternoon.

2.0 in the Audigy software or in the game? Also, does this 2.0 over Headphone apply to the X-Fi's out there or just Audigy's and lower-end models?

Really just confused. There is so much information on how to set the X-Fi and all, but not the Audigy 2 ZS. I've searched and searched this forum and the CL forums and really haven't found anything solid about this.

Music really appears more "open" in 2channel rather than the headphone setting. Is 2 channel just more preferred with quality cans? Or is this something that should be done with any pair of headphones?

Agreed, the windows headphone setting really mess up the sound!!!!!
Leave it on stereo speakers.

Its all personal prefrence, but I leave my CMSS off, bass and treble at 50%, no EQ, EAX in some games.
