Top Search Terms That Lead To Malware

That's hilarious.

The misspelled Barrack Obama is on the list, but the real spelling is not :p

That must be why I do not ever have malware problem; I never search for those things...

Agreed. Thats not to say I'm not interested in any of those things (I do like baseball, I occasionally watch a music video, and I have shopped at Costco) but I rarely find that I need to search for them. I kinda know where to go already.

I don't even know what/who Abby Road is... :p

Some tramp on the show Jersey Shore.

I only know this as I have stepsons who I have to keep stopping from watching that junk show.

Ok, well, WTF is that show? lol

What a random assortment of items. Rex Ryan?! lol...

And I would also like to know wtf Abbey Road is, now that the J-Woww question has been answered. I obviously shouldn't Google it. ;)

Well it was a Beatles album, and a recording studio.

Young'uns :-P

Abbey Road is one of the most popular Beatles album - second to last before the group disolved. You might recognize this famous image. (Don't worry, it's not virused, lol)

I facepalm'd at the first "what is Abbey Road" but then another person asks? Come on people! I'm 18 so I'm a "Young'un" and I know what it is, my 8 year old cousin knows what it is!

This is what's wrong with the world today.

lol

I don't understand why Costco is on this list. Of all the stores, why it.

fyi, Abbey Road is the beatles album and the studio where it was recorded. Abby Road is someone/something else. looks like a blog maybe?

How often do people really need to do an internet search? Most of the time I already know what sites contain the information I'm looking for. I'd say I do 90% of my searches at work for work purposes.

Half of those things are normal spam commercials on television. Says a whole lot.

I wish I could have nested the comments but thank you This was exactly the reason I was peaking in here and... You know I shouldn't search for it given how the term came to my attention :p

Nice. That reminds me of the Emeril Lagasse show. He'd always mention the Food Network site and say 'wwwfoodnetwork.com' instead of www.footnetwork.com. Some enterprising asshole created wwwfoodnetwork.com and loaded it full of malware.

Whoops, meant 'food', not 'foot'.

footnetwork.com is probably a Jets site. ;)

I'm really surprised Costco is on that list. Just searched it and all the results on the first page were legit, and I doubt many people go further than one page anyway (most seem to just search again).

Those aren't really anything that I had in mind as the top search terms leading to malware. I figured the terms were going to be a bunch of NSFW stuff.:D

You are all wrong:

Abbey Road as the name implies was a street before the Studio Came to be. Then the record. Just messing with you ;)

I am shocked that sex or porn aren't on there lol.

That was the same thought I was just having, not to mention people searching for cracks or hacks for games.

I don't understand the youth of today or the malware writers... unless, wait, are the people who look for porn and no CD cracks (as there's no bloody way I'm keeping the disc in the drive for a game I've bought for Gaia's sake!) are instrinsically smarter than the sorts of people who search for that junk?

I guess that's really a rhetorical question, now that I think about it!

I'm surprised no sexual terms made it into the chart...or would that need a chart of it's own?
