Hello,

After home moving I noticed that my printer's top cover snapped from it's right plastic hinge and I don't know how to snap it back into place properly without damaging the hinge.

The model is MFC240C.

It looks like the bar just goes underneath the hook and snaps in.

I am sure it does but both are hard plastic that I fear will break if I do it incorrectly. I applied strong pressure a few times and bar will still not snap in. Maybe I need to push a little with screwdriver in between hinge to widen it briefly...

If you look closely, the bar isn't quite round. It has flat sides. You need to slide it in so the flat sides are closest to the sides of the mouth of the hinge, if that makes sense

auntjemima You are right and it worked. Thanks.

I started trying to lift hinge's mouth with thick screwdriver but that started ruining plastic so I stopped. Attempted with hands and it worked.
